Hello world,
As we know the All-Star Weekend was held this week February 18-20 in Los Angeles California with different events associated throughout the day. During day 1 events were the BBVA All-Star Celebrity game, T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam, and the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown. The T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam was such a success to a young individual recieving $30,000 dollars for their rookie of choice. The Young individual that chose Stephen Curry as her choice was winner. Day 2 the D-League All-Star game took place, then Day 3 having the 60th NBA All-Star game was a big treat to many fans around the world. The west team won with Kobe Bryant recieving the MVP trophy. This event is such a big success and a fun time for the athletes to get a week of relaxing competitive fun with the fans going crazy with cheers. All-Star Weekend is something all the athletes look foward to.
This years all star game was a great game with Kobe Bryant playing for the home crowd and LeBron recording a triple double. The NBA All Star weekend puts on a better show than any of the other major sports all star events.
ReplyDeleteI think the All Star weekend is fun for fans and players but sometimes is taken to seriously by coaches, refs, and other athletes. The All Star game should be a time to just show off skills and put on a show for the crowd and fans!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. For the players its seen as a vacation to get away from the hectic traveling schedules and back to back games. It fun to watch them all interact as most of them such as LeBron, Chris Paul and Carmelo have all been freinds since their teenage AAU playing days
ReplyDeleteMy personal favorite event is the dunk contest. It is always so interesting watching the players show off the talent they have in that manner. Obviously, Blake Griffin won, but I am not sure he had the best dunk of the night. Serge Ibaka's MJ honor should be the dunk of the night!
ReplyDeleteGotta say the dunk contest is the highlight. The actual all-star game is slowly becoming a joke.
